Bellwake (Demo)

The night Merewick went silent, a book chose you.

Bellwake is a gothic creature-collecting RPG in pixel art. You are the bell-ringer of a village emptied in a single night. The chapel's book woke in your hands, and with its bell and its pages you can bind the drollkin: creatures twisted by a silence leaking through doors that should never have been opened.

This demo covers the first chapters, from Merewick's chapel to the sea door below Gannet.

In the demo

• Wake one of three drollkin from the book, and find more than fifty others along the way.
• Turn-based battles across ten elements, where every class of drollkin has an instinct of its own.
• Boss battles with their own rules. The great bell under the sea is not beaten: it is cleansed.
• After the sea door, keep exploring: rare Hushed drollkin start to appear, corrupted and in colours of their own. Cleanse one before your bell can bind it.
• The Hours, your book: your drollkin, the Litany of everything you've met, and every technique each one knows.
• Something walks the far bank at Dunmere after dark.
• The Vigil, an optional harder way to play: a candle burns in every battle, and the dark unsettles your drollkin.

Plays on Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and Android 7 or later, with keyboard, gamepad or touch.
